African American Capacity Builder Project
This is a two-year initiative with the goal of fostering authentic and effective relationships between the community and county, emphasizing the enhancement of mental health resources that are by the people, for the people.
Our collaboration aims to narrow gaps and build bridges, addressing real issues with effective, community-driven solutions.
Phase One
In 2022, we hosted community and provider listening sessions that were facilitated using a Black-Centered Design & Cultural Wellness framework to identify ways of taking care of physical health and, importantly, mental health for the Black Community within Ramsey County.

Phase Two
Right in the “thick” of it – we’ll host events, partner, and/or sponsor organizations that are hosting events that are mission-aligned to what we are trying to achieve within the Ramsey County community.
